Gods
The Invitation to the Gods was an event orchestrated by Mziran in the far past, who invited the Creator Gods to Manam to show the living spirit of the planet, Ana, how to form life in various ways. Many deities accepted this invitation, including Moradin, Glittergold, Corallon, and Bahamut, who populated the world with the "classic" races of dwarves, elves, hobbits, and gnomes. Mziran neglected to inform these visiting gods that the world itself was a sentient child of a dragon soul.
While the races built their cultures, the elves of old became predators for magic and materials, attempting to force the Feywild and Shadowfell planes into Manam. This faulty magic was so extreme that it caused Ana immense pain, physically ripping her energetic chakra lines and bursting her organs apart. As a result of these rituals, the intended planes collapsed and eventually unfolded directly into the material world of Manam, integrating their magic and creatures into the primary plane.
In retaliation for this abuse, Mziran ordered the draconic factions to hunt the elves into extinction. The elves responded by opening portals to otherworlds, flooding Manam with aberrations and demons, which finalized the decision of the other races to join the hunt. Realizing the elves intended to destroy a world they did not understand, Corallon apologized to Ana, exiled her elven kin from the afterlife, and fled the world permanently. A small group of approximately 33 elves survived by merging with Luman light spirits, creating the secret lineage known as the Eturi.
The major gods now reside within Multidimensional Spheres, which are the manifested domains and abodes of the deities that provide mana to the world. These spheres connect Manam to Realmspace, extending the gods' influence to the Greater Outer Planes of the D&D multiverse through the Universal Crystal Sphere. Each deity manages specific domains within these spheres:
- Greater Deities like Io, Ana, and Mziran rule the Universal Sphere and have the power to traverse all spheres and influence any domain.
- Intermediate Deities are influencers who produce avatars and can access up to five spheres; for example, Aine resides in the Wild Sphere managing the Fey and Charm domains.
- Lesser Deities have specialized powers and are limited to three spheres; for instance, Tamara resides in the Order Sphere, specifically overseeing the domain of Mercy.
- These spheres exist in a state of eternal possibility within the Quanta-Dimension, allowing the gods to provide specific types of raw magic to casters who attune to their domains.
